The Ex and Deerhoof: weird rock in the UK
_adam_ by Adam Anonymous December 6th, 2003
In a move almost as complex as their rather leave-the-house-worthy music, Steve Albini-produced Dutch stalwarts The Ex and frankly bonkers yanks Deerhoof embark on December dates in the UK and Ireland from today.

They team up for a handful of joint dates inside the next week, while both bands also go it alone for individual fun around the country.

The double-headline dates are:

6th London Spitz
8th Nottingham Rescue Rooms
9th Edinburgh Studio 24

Deerhoof also play:

7th Brighton The Freebutt
10th Glasgow 13th Note Cafe
11th Leeds Cardigan Arms
12th London Needles

And you can catch The Ex at:

7th Newcastle The Cluny
12th Belfast Auntie Annie's
13th Dublin Whelans
14th Cork Half Moon Club
15th Milton Keynes Zaks

Phew. And if you’re not totally exhausted by figuring all that out, it’d be mighty smart to make it. Deerhoof are due to return next year when they play at All Tomorrow’s Parties.
