LostProphets Progress and it doesn't Sound Fake
-Raz- by Raziq Rauf January 11th, 2003
The alleged "Best Welsh Band in the World", LostProphets, are to release their 2nd studio album in the Autumn.

It's been highly, highly anticipated since the rise in acclaim of their debut, ‘thefakesoundofprogress’ coupled with the scintillating live performances. The follow-up is currently deing demoed in a valley somewhere. Or in a studio. Who can say? It's probably top secret.

They've cited some tentative release dates which will have fair odds on being delayed but you can expect a new single on June 16, which will almost undoubtedly be accompanied by a nationwide tour. Rejoice, because THEN we get the new album, hopefully, on Sept 1. [nudge, nudge] That's just after the August Bank Holiday weekend you may have noticed.

Talking of their debut album ... the LostProphets will release the re-mastered (read: unnecessarily overly re-polished) version on vinyl for the first time on February 24 limited to a miserly 2000 copies. There won't be any tours or expensive promotion to accompany the release. It's merely something for collectors to collect and budding turntable gymnasts to use while mixing it up in their bedroom.

DiS-cuss: How much do you wanna see LostProphets at Reading or Leeds or maybe even Glasgow? Are they pretty boy wankpieces or rock legends? Is this new album actually going to be any good? Will the $American$ influence have changed their style at all?
