New DOOM compilation on the way, possible link-up with TVOTR's Sitek
JoeDiddly by Luke Slater September 16th, 2009

Enigmatic emcee and a man of a million names who now goes by the name of DOOM but was formerly MF DOOM will be releasing a new record at the end of the year. An October 27 release date is slated for the US.

Entitled Unexpected Guests it, ironically, features some frequent collaborators like Jake One, Count Bass D. and the now-deceased but still-a-legend, J. Dilla, and is made mainly of offcuts and other cuts that didn't make it before he released Born Like This earlier in the year plus a few from even earlier. Wu-Tang's GZA makes a brief appearance, too, along with fellow WTCers, Masta Killa and Inspektah Deck.

Tracklisting is as follows:

  1. Jake One: "Get 'Er Done [ft. DOOM]"
  2. Talib Kweli: "Fly That Knot [ft. DOOM]"
  3. J Dilla: "Sniper Elite [ft. DOOM & Ghostface Killah]"
  4. Jake One: "Trap Door [ft. DOOM]"
  5. John Robinson: "Sorcerers [ft. DOOM & Invizible Handz]"
  6. Vast Aire: "Da Supafriendz"
  7. Count Bass D: "Quite Buttery [ft. DOOM]"
  8. DOOM: "? [ft. Kurious]"
  9. DOOM: "All Outta Ale"
  10. Masta Killa: "E.N.Y. House [ft. DOOM]"
  11. DOOM: "Bells of DOOM"
  12. DOOM: "My Favorite Ladies"
  13. DOOM: "Street Corners (Remix) [ft. Masta Killa, Inspectah Deck & GZA]

Pitchfork also reports that the masked-man may be linking up with TV On The Radio's David Sitek, as reported on another website. That would indeed be quite some tag-team, no?
