Rolo Tomassi get Radio 1 in a bit of a swirl
sean by Sean Adams October 28th, 2008

Marmite band of the year Rolo Tomassi have become Radio 1's flavour of the moment...

Last night Rolo Tomassi played the BBC proms (you can watch it online here), showcasing their baffling baby-dinosaurs-Blood-Brothers-and-Liars-in-a-blender debut album Hysterics. The BBC seemed to have got a bit over excited about their set and the band's first single ‘I Love Turbulence’ (out December 15th through Hassle) was played on Zane Lowe, Steve Lamacq and Huw Stephens and Dan Carter’s Rock Show from the BBC Electric Proms. Added to that Huw Stephens called them “the best live band in the world!”

Their tour with Blood Red Shoes, is now over but the touring doesn't stop. Rolo are set to play Swn Fest in Cardiff for Plan B on Nov 14th at Club Ifor Bach. They've also got XFM London in a spin and play a show for them with Fucked Up at the Camden Barfly on the 6th November.

And if that wasn't enough they have co-headline dates with The Ghost of a Thousand** and a heap of headline shows coming up, visit myspace.com/rolotomassi for details.

_DiScuss:** do you love 'em or hate them? Is there any inbetween? What do you make of the BBC Electric Proms Live footage? _
