‘Jon But Not Forgotten'

A Jon Lee Tribute Night
Le Pub, Caxton place, Newport
28th January 7-11pm

After the sad and premature death of drummer Jon Lee (1968 – 2002) from Newport’s most famous exports, it is in memory that the ‘Jon Lee Tribute Night’ will be held at Newport’s premier live venue Le Pub. Normally a free venue, a small entry fee of £2 will be taken at the door. All the profits will go to Jon’s favourite charity ‘The Noah’s Ark Children’s Fund’.

For this small entry price there will be a mixture of DJ’s and live bands that will undoubtedly entertain.

The night’s program thus follows:

A selection of Feeder and classic anthems expertly spun by James Mclaren, editor of Honk Magazine and Louis Pattison from the NME. Followed by live music from Newport’s finest:

Mayonaise - a band who’s last performance at legendary venue TJ’s proved to be the talk of the night.
Novello - a band who look set to take 2002 by storm.
Gracie - ‘Acoustic rock without losing the ‘catchy tune attraction’ – Moist magazine 2001
Mombomb - ‘Newport spawned obscenity from Slayers school of chugs . . .- Buzz Magazine 2001

There will also be an exclusive Feeder photograph raffled off on the night.
