Another TWO Fierce Panda 6-Track E.Ps
jmoore by James Moore August 13th, 2001
Fierce Panda put out an Emo compilation... Andy Malcolm gets angry. Plus there's a Rock compilation too.

Fierce Panda release two more 6 track E.Ps. The Emo compilaiton titled 'Go' will feature tracks from Jimmy Eat World, Stapleton, Kids Near water, Jet Plane Landing, San Quentin and Econoline's 'Topology'.

Whilst the Rock comp called 'Mosh' will feature the The Suffrajets, Elviss, Tung, Reuben, and two other acts.

The idea is that they will be a limited release on double 7" that will get deleted straight away, then released together on one CD called 'Mosh and Go' with all 12 songs on. Nice huh?

As well as that release Econoline release another single on Seriously Groovy it features the songs 'I'm plagued', 'Too much sleep', and 'YourName'.

Plus they're going on the road too! The dates are:

September
1st - Oxford Zodiac (Audioscope charity all dayer raising funds for Shelter) More details here
15th - ROTA @ Notting Hill Arts Centre (w/ The Dudley Corporation and Jet Johnson) FREE afternoon show
17th - Peterborough Old Locomotive (w/ Engine Down and The Green Acre)
22nd - Newcastle Stout Fiddler (w/ Skip Day toner)
23rd - Glasgow 13th Note Cafe (w/ Tungsten Lung)
28th - London the Underworld (w/ The Lapse and The last of the real hardmen)

They also told their mailing list that "in ROCKtober we will do some dates for the Fierce panda business as well some other choice supports and hopefully get round to finishing our new album tentatively titled 'music is stupid'."

Oh and Ian told me that "We're also contributing to a covers record on Jonson Family called 'The Two Minutemen' we're doing a sludge rock version of "Ain't talking bout love" by Van Halen (also covered by the minutemen on double nickels on the dime)"
