Sting, Prince, Bowie, Jagger, Waits, Albarn, Flea... the list of musicians-turned-sometime-actors is a long one, and one peppered with some truly awful excuses for motion pictures. Now, it seems, Kasabian's Tom Meighan is weighing up his cinematic options.
The singer has apparently been approached by movers and shakers over Hollywood way, after they were impressed by his turn in the promo video for Kasabian's 'Empire' single. Guitarist Serge Pizzorno is sure his bandmate can make the switch from music to movies.
"I fear Hollywood will take Tom away. He looks imperial. There's been talk of him doing a film - he's had offers. He's good at learning lyrics so remembering lines wouldn't be a problem. He'd be like Bowie in Labyrinth. He's a lunatic."
Who, Bowie or Meighan? What? Why are you even reading this 'news'?
