(Angel)strike a Light! Jim Bob back on the road
thommo by Thomas Blatchford August 19th, 2004
If you’re still thumbing through 'Goodnight Jim Bob - On The Road With Carter The Unstoppable Sex Machine' and now find yourself pining for the days of live USM action, then the closest you’re going to get is the latest acoustic tour by Jim Bob Carter himself. By “acoustic”, of course, we also mean “fucking riotous one-man show”.

To accompany the release of new solo long-player ‘Angelstrike!’ - released on his birthday, 22nd November, no less - Jim Bob will be dragging his table of props to:

Nov 22nd - LONDON PUB - Jim's birthday booze up
Nov 23rd - SHEFFIELD - Boardwalk
Nov 24th - GLASGOW - King Tuts Wah Wah Hut
Nov 25th - BIRMINGHAM - Glee Club
Nov 26th - HARTLEPOOL - Studio
Dec 1st - PORTSMOUTH - Wedgewood Rooms
Dec 2nd - LONDON - Bloomsbury Theatre

The UCL Bloomsbury Theatre date will also feature the first ever EVER public screening of ‘A Working Class Zero Is Something To Be’, a short film made by Tim Connery, Frank Rickarby and with musical accompaniment by another former USM bloke, Les ‘Fruitbat’ Carter. All dates will probably feature Jim Bob playing some of his (quite frankly) brilliant solo work and reading parts of his book. Out loud.

And don’t worry, you can still expect old Carter favourites, funny haircuts and ‘hilarious’ cries of “You fat bastard!” at the end.

DiScuss - Am I un-H.A.P.P.Y.? Does a newborn baby cry? Etc.
