Fierce Panda: Indie Again
jmoore by James Moore May 2nd, 2001
Huzzah! Fierce Panda are once again a true Indie label.

After months of speculation, Fierce Panda have finally announced they will no longer be a part of the Mushroom group, leaving Rupert Murdoch and his corporate whores alone.

A statement from the indie label, which help launch pad the likes of Idlewild, Seafood and Placebo by releasing their debut singles, says that "ties with Mushroom are officially severed," and goes on to reveal that Seafood have jumped ship and stayed on at Infectious Records. Oh dear.

Seafood's single, 'Cloaking' will be released on the 25th June. With the album 'When Will We Start Fighting' hitting the shops on 16th July, both will be released by Infectious Records.
