VIB GYOR are a Leeds-based four piece who write chilling, epic rock songs with a featherlite touch that makes us want to utter the words 'Starsailor' but adding 'though much, much better' after it. Quickly. Recently formed, this is their first London gig after a raft of A&R scrimmaging as a result of the band's glorious 3 track CD that has been passed round feverishly.
"Soothing, dreamy prog-indie awash with trademark Radiohead and Flaming Lips tricks." BBCi

LYCA SLEEP Another great band from Leeds? What are they putting in the water... we'll let these quotes do the talking...
"Epic atmospherics, skyscraping pastels of sound recalling sigur ros, my bloody valentine and verve. Simply breathtaking" DROWNEDINSOUND.COM
"Swirling Psychedelic loops of guitar" STEVE LAMACQ
"Like Mogwai stargazing with the Warlocks. This band are sonically fantastic." MANCHESTERMUSIC.CO.UK
"Delicate Texturing..brutal flashes of energy" ALTMUSIC.NET
"Pounding Grooves and spiralling guitars.Basically Shoegazing with your head in the stars, like getting lost in a sonic fog." 4MUSIC TELETEXT

QUERELLE are an Italian trio. They decamped to London and formed a band in 2001 with (a now accomplished) mission to sculpt beautiful post-rock outta their undernourished buzzing hearts. They're often described as a cross between The Lapse, Blonde Redhead and Unwound. They've been creating a reputation for themselves holding their own with the likes of Life Without Buildings, KaitO, Reynolds, Degrassi and The Dudley Corporation. The press have reported:
"A sound as expansive as that of The Mars Volta. Post-rock someone called it. Wrong. Clangorous, Albini-approved ramshackle rock is closer to the mark. Like Shellac? Imagine a half-speed, half-awake version of same and you've got them pinned. Love it." - LOGO
"A charming sense of mid-period Sonic Youth-like urgency, vocalist Gypsy’s simple rhymes gifting it the sort of instant accessibility that so many of their indigenous peers - Lo-Fi Sucks and Laundrette for example - seem to lack." - DROWNED IN SOUND.

A compilation to accompany the nights, featuring the best new bands in Britian, will be released in late July.
