Redjetson debut LP out NOW on Drowned in Sound Recordings
Redjetson debut LP out NOW on Drowned in Sound Recordings
sean by Sean Adams January 25th, 2005
Oh happy day!

T'is another historical day in the life of Drowned in Sound. Not only has Martha Wainwright sold out The Barfly before the first live advert has run but our second album release finally hits stores this week...

REDJETSON: Debut Album Out NOW!

Its been a few months coming but the debut album from REDJETSON, has been worth the wait, well if you believe our ears and the words of the press!

The Fly have run a glorious 4/5 review in this month's issue and they interviewed the band in Dublin (whilst out there playing with old friends Bloc Party and drinking plenty o’ Guinness) last week for a 'Ones to Watch' feature. Kerrang! have said nice things too like that it is 'A masterpiece of invention' and we can’t ask for much nicer things to be said than that! If you do a little Google there're lots of lovely 'zines describing the album as beautiful in various (blushingly) gushing ways.

You can hear samples of it online HERE

MARTHA WAINWRIGHT: New Shows!

The build-up to the album (April 4th) is well underway, with Martha picking up loads more lovely mentions in the press over the festive period, including features in The Daily Telegraph, The Independent, multiple mentions in New York Times, and The Times and Sunday Times end of year reviews, plus nice mentions in Mojo under ‘Best Thing I Heard All Year’ from both her brother Rufus and from Norah Jones. The first single from the album 'Factory', is released on March 21st.

Martha returns to the UK in February, and due to demand has added a headline show at London's Scala. See Martha live at the following shows:

OH MY GOD! IT'S KAISER CHIEFS!:

They may no longer be our babies, but you can't miss them in the media this month. A re-release of their limited edition pop genius debut single 'Oh My God' which we loved and released last year is due very soon - and quite amusingly Q magazine have made a nice cock-up and said we're releasing it this time around. Bless. Watch their world domination continue...
