Bands who play toilet venues and do encores

TheoGB [Edit] [Delete] 13:43, 5 July '06

They're cunts, right?

I mean, unless I'm seeing a band with a decent back catalogue that I really know an love, 30 mins is pretty much the perfect set length. There are very few bands who can interest me beyond this sort of constraint.

But what's even worse is when some band happens to have brought a lot of people and has the nerve to do an encore after having already played their trad shit for what seems like 50 minutes and was at least 30.

This happened to me on Monday in fact. I just don't see the need. If you've failed to play one of your best tracks in the last 30 mins then fuck off because you don't even deserve to keep playing.

Sorry, it just annoys me, but I'm not wrong am I? The best bands are the ones that get up, bang out some seriously fast, loud, ear-killingly great choons in a Mclusky style and then are gone before you've even had to contemplate missing any of it to yell your order to the barstaff. Surely?
