<smug-centric> Seeing nice but completely ludicrous things about yourself in print

theguywithnousername [Edit] [Delete] 17:22, 4 July '06

Sorry. This is the most self-centred and smug thing I've ever posted but I've just opened Timeout to see if a gig I'm doing next week got listed and what I saw made me laugh so much I felt like posting about it:

http://www.timeout.com/london/clubs/events/214888/hungamunga.html
They've not only listed it but called me an "ace antifolk superstar" which is nice but would appear to be the most ludicrous use of the word "superstar" ever given that I'm unsigned and no-one's heard of me. Frankly even calling me "ace" is risking the trade descriptions act.

I'm aware other people on DiS are in bands far more successful (and quite possibly far more talented) than me. Has anyone else had anything this insane printed about them?

On a sidenote, Hungamunga is an ace night. The music's fantastic on nights when I'm not playing and you get to make stuff and paint and things too!
