Laundry Etiquette

theguywithnousername [Edit] [Delete] 20:41, 3 July '06

So here's my dilemma:

I live in a block of flats for around 400 people that has a shared laundry with six washing machines. This evening I wanted to do some washing.

I get there and all six machines are full of clothes but two of the machines have finished their cycles and the clothes are just lying in them 'cos no-one's yet come to pick 'em up.

I hang around for about 15 minutes and still these selfish fuckers haven't come to collect their clothes, thus blocking up two of the washing machines and stopping me or other people using them.

What is the correct etiquette in this situation? Am I required to hang around until the lazy swine deign it the correct time to come and get their clothes or am I entitled to put their washing on the side and use the washing machine myself?
