who gets on with their special ones family?

lady meths' family are quite old school, upper middle class (boarding scools/countryside/no public cuddling) and i find them really hard to get on with.

her sisters getting married soon and at the wedding i have to sit on my own with a load of people i dont know (not allowed to sit with my own girlfriend!) who i have nothing in common with.

and to add to the insult - i have to wear a morning suit (i have no idea what this is?) and we not even allowed to sleep in the same room (we're 26).

her dad still seems to be in charge of her finances too, "how can i tell my dad i've spent money on that?!". its pretty ridiculous. its starting to really get to me.

is it gonna get any better? or will i end up resenting them forever? plus, if i ended up having kids with her, i wouldnt want her to be to my kids like her parents are to her i.e no shows of affection/money is most important thing/posh schools etc etc
