I need a summer job, badly, because I want a PSP, and I want to be not bothered about paying for a taxi back from Blackburn at weekends, and to finish off my Ryan Adams collecting spree.

There's this factory job that me and my mates are going for... It asks for students, so we can do it. But there's 2 shifts we're considering: 8am-1pm or 1pm-6pm.

We concluded the 8am one would be better for doing things in the day. You've got the whole day ahead of you when you finish. However, I'd be getting up at around 6 in the morning, Monday to Thursday.

The 1pm one would be better for lying in, but you'd get no afternoon, and I'd probably lay in bed until I had to go, so it'd be a waste of a day...

Its £4.70 an hour by the way. I'm desperate, too. But which shift do I go for?
