Prole, Random and I have put together a night of aceness at Bardens Boudoir in Dalston, London, on Friday 7 July, from 8pm onwards.

DARREN HAYMAN (ex-Hefner, The French) - John Peel favourite Darren Hayman writes perfect songs of sex, love and Englishness, and will be performing a solo set which will charm you all (and pretty much make me explode with joy).
OPERATION WOLF - London boy-girl two piece of awesomeness will be playing some songs, hopefully including 'Kim Deal or No Deal' and 'I Saw An Emo Boy on Newsround'. How could you not enjoy this?!

Mr Tom Linay - better known to most of you as some darts player or other, Tom will be playing a set that might, JUST MIGHT, involve some shoegazing.
Mr Bobby Grindrod - better known to most of you as, er, Bobby Grindrod, the perfectly cheekboned gentleman will be DJing some songs from the days of PROPER POP MUSIC, no doubt.
Mixtape DJs - being the unbeatable triad of me, Prole and Random. For the kind of stuff we'll be playing, check our MySpace, but rest assured there'll be baroque pop, tweeness, strings, handclaps, inventive lyrics and some Jarvis Cocker.
It's going to be a really ace night - Bardens is a lovely venue with cosy seating and stuff, so you can dance ludicrously or curl up and chat to your heart's content. Oh yes.
It'll be £6, £5 if you're one of those students or you come armed with a flyer.
We like to dress up, so we've decided to have a colour scheme - this month, RED. Interpret this how you will, and if you come wearing red, we'll give you a free mix CD made by our own fair hands. (It would be a tape, but that would take us FAR too long, and I for one am a little lazy.)
