So I went to see this last night after much deliberation over whether I even wanted to go, and it's actually not as bad as you might think. There are no real suprises about how the story will pan out (no I haven't read the book) but once the film gets going it's actually quite enjoyable.

So in conclusion, it's not the big turkey that the media is making it out to be.
