a serious family matter, with opinion wanted.

HeartbrokenStar [Edit] [Delete] 20:09, 28 May '06

i am 22 and have never known my gradparents on my father's side as they disowned him for marrying my mother and not carrying on in the family business.

i know that the last known place that my grandparents lived was Rhos-On-Sea, near Colwyn Bay and i am about 20mins away in Bangor. This weekend my parents asked if i had ever considered trying to make contact with grandparents whilst iv been here, they gave me the last known address and their blessing to try.

i have no other extra family as they have all died etc. so i am thinking of going round to see if they are still alive, living there and willing to speak to me. they may be dead of course. i have my dad's blessing and i think he would like to know if his dad is still alive. Is this likely to end in my tears and a whole can of worms being opened or do i take the chance and regain some form of "family"

sorry for length of this post
