my sunday

commandercool [Edit] [Delete] 15:39, 2 May '06

was spent at the truly wonderful godzillafest at the fenton in leeds. as well as seeing awesomeness in the form of (amongst others) d-rail, dauntless elite, threads, beasts and the leif ericsson, the day culminated in a performance by conquest of steel.

looking like they stepped straight out of an 80's support slot for iron maiden and performing as if to a packed stadium rather than a dingy upstairs room in a pub, they sang songs about the devil and promiscuous women and the power of metal, abetted by stage props including swords, skulls and fake blood which ended up everywhere.

has anyone seen this band? they were so much fun live and something that's rarely seen these days. great stuff.
