I edge ever nearer the decision: to buy or not to buy?

Anyone here own a house, properly? My girlfriend and I are kinda looking now, pricing things up, but I am SHOCKED at how much everything is.

My parent's bought their four-bedroom detached house in Hampshire for 86,000 ten years ago; for a two-bed place around the corner from where I live now, we're looking at 400,000.

That = WOW.

Any up-and-coming bits of London I should move to NOW to get a good deal?
