Last night I had a bit of a weird experience- the support band (stockbrokers playing at being a rock band) at a gig we did lent us (adapter adapter) their bass amp- and we supplied a drum kit.

Two songs into our set, their bassist jumped up onstage, turned the amp right down (to pretty much inaudible), and threatened to beat me up if I used the big muff again... 'cos that amp cost £1000'

We did one more song, said fuck you and good night, and split...

Now I'm wondering- should I have just fought him and been done with it? He did end up looking like a total gimp, but my fighty hand feels a bit cheated, though my girlfriend is happy I haven't got a shiner...
