Transporting music...

seeingotherpeople [Edit] [Delete] 17:50, 27 March '06

A question for those more technologically-minded than I (that’s everyone else on here). I will soon be returning home and reunited with the other half of my CD collection (incidentally most of the stuff mentioned in the GRUUUNGE thread!). What’s the most convenient/foolproof way of bringing this music back with me without wanting to carry several dozen CDs halfway across the world?
I’m thinking about getting a USB plug-in memory stick thingie and copy the CDs on it – would that work? How many CDs do you think would fit in one of those things, and would I be able to save them as MP3 files using an old computer back home?

Any suggestions/advice muchly appreciated! :D
