I've been reading all these old old copies of the NME and Melody Maker. It seems that at some point in time, they actually hired people who could write. I mean, write as in beyond putting simple sentences together. And there were no stories about how to do your hair like Russel from bloc party, or features called "Which rock'n'roll date are you?".

I am shocked beyond belief.
