are they not amazing? they fill me with thrills. all that paper... all those paints and chalks and oil pastels and funny alcohol-based substances and clays and canvases and pencils and inks and brushes and sprays and pots/tubes/cans/tins/tubs/canisters of glue... oh god...

what's yr favourite art shop? atlantis [big art warehouse in whitechapel] is good, but i love the cass art shops, because they're always small and crammed with goodies and half-price special offers. i got a massive can of fixative spray in there today for half price. it's usually nearly nine quid. rapture!

also, you should go into art shops even if you don't "do" art, because [a] it will inspire you to do art, and everyone can do art, whether they think so or not - and [b] you can cover your/a friend's hands with colours, and it's just wonderful really.
