Music Social More…

Would I get sued for this?

dove_from_above [Edit] [Delete] 14:26, 10 February '06

I write for a small independent music magazine in Southend, which up until now has been run by a rather large Australian chap called Cookie

The magazine is called Southbender

Now, before coming to England, Cookie didn't realise that 'bender' is a playground term for being a gayer, and so didn't realise that naming the mag this would be mildly amusing. Every time we put on a gig, have a launch night etc etc people/bar staff ask if it's a gay magazine

I was thinking a better name would be:

Southfender

As in guitar etc etc. Plus it's only a subtle change. I was thinking about proposing this to Cookie, but wanted to see if it would actually be possible to call it this before I did

I know nothing of copyright laws and all that jazz, so forgive if I come across as a bit thick
