So there's another of these wonderous phone in debates on 5 live this morning. Some guy 'spitting blood' over the govt's proposals to have more community service/shorter sentences with a focus on rehabilitation. Two, sadly northern (read as: thick), callers shouting about their hard earned taxes and how they should build more prisons.

What do you think? Should the focus be on punishing criminals? Or should it be on reintroducing them safely into the community? Or should we punish them a bit and then rehabilitate them?
