American Drama

alcxxk [Edit] [Delete] 20:22, 18 January '06

hello everyone. i hope we're all having a spiffy evening?
lovely.
im not. im writing an essay on the use of dashes and exclamation marks in american drama. I have a number of ideas for this essay, which is nice. thing is, the question talks about said punctuation being used in times of "high thought", and im kinda thinking to myself 'wheres the "high thought" in american drama?'

can anyone think of a character in the plays of Miller, Gerstenberg, Mamet, Eugene O'Neill, Tennessee Williams etc. that actually think much?

i was also just thinking (ok, its anpther essay i have to do for friday): Can short stories be successfully political? hmmmmmmm.....
