This was in today's Metro:

"The broadcaster's marketers want viewers to think of ITV1 as the equivalent of Robbie Williams...The marketing experts also reckon that youth channel ITV2 would be defined by Cameron Diaz, drama channel ITV3's equivalent would be Sheila Hancock and men's channel ITV4 equates to Daniel Craig, the new James Bond."

*NOTE: That's what ITV4 is for, then.

<pause for a belly laugh>

Anyway, supposedly 6000 people questioned thought ITV's image to be vague and saw it as 'middle of the road and lacking a theme'. What's funnier is that these same insightful people thought of the BBC as 'dad' and Channel 4 as 'young and exciting'.

C5 didn't seem to get a look in. Maybe they don't like writing 'shower of shite' in the Metro?

ITV really is piss poor and the quicker it goes down the can the better as far as I'm concerned.
