UK and US sitcoms

The_Glory [Edit] [Delete] 19:23, 3 January '06

Alright.

Watched the two programmes about sitcoms last night on C4 and I was mildly perturbed at how the age-old tradition of us Brits looking down our noses at Yank comedy has seemingly turned a complete 180 recently and now it's all Seinfeld this and Frasier that. Personally, both those shows leave me wondering what all the fuss is about.

Is Frasier really better than Fawlty Towers, I'm Alan Partridge, The Royle Family, Peep Show, etc, or is all this rampant sucking of American cock amongst so-called comedy 'experts' getting a bit out of hand?

For me, saying Frasier is better than Fawlty Towers is tantamount to heresy.
