Minor irritations from my day

dove_from_above [Edit] [Delete] 19:57, 8 December '05

I'm at work. I have to go get something from another department, and on the way, a kind lady holds the door open for me

Only thing is, she's about 20 yards ahead of me. So I feel obliged to jog along so doesn't stand there for ages, but when I get there and walk through the door, we're now too close together walking down a long, quiet corridor. We're the only people there, walking along in silence - her about two steps ahead of me. Why did she hold the door open? Do I not look capable of opening a door myself? She's just made a perfectly avoidable situation rather awkward

And then at lunch, I wander over to the pub and order a large coke

Me: "Just a large coke please"
Barman: "Ah, we've only got Pepsi. Is that ok?

What the fuck?! I wanted to say

"No, actually - it's not ok. And I can't believe you had the cheek to offer me a large Pepsi you piece of scum"

Instead, I said

"Erm, yeah fine"

And THEN this afternoon (although this is more amusing than a moan) I go to walk into the toilet, but as I go to push the door open (not the cubicle - the main door), somebody opens it from inside, resulting in me pushing him in the chest quite forcefully

Thing is, it was OBVIOUSLY accidental, but the prick gave me a dirty look and mumbled something under his breath as he walked away. Next time I see him, I'll push him in the face so he actually has something to moan about

Grrrrr....
