I'd have been fucked. Inspired by the tree killing idiots thread and the lying on social media threads.

I was a fucking idiot until I was about 20 (still am but in a different way). I cringe when I think back on some of the stupid things i said and did thinking it was funny or just out of an effort to get a reaction. I even had an online incident with the inter schools message board which lead to some police involvement and ultimately my expulsion from school.

Thinking about it now, I have zero doubt that if there was the amount of social media usage then as there is now and moreover, the scrutiny thereof, I would have got myself into a whole heap of trouble with a very well documented audit trail I could never take back.

Sometimes I try and remember that when I am really harshly judging some idiot kid who pops up after being fucking idiot on social media. I think I dodged a bullet with that tech not being in widespread use a few years earlier.
