not really on is it?

is this common office behaviour? i used to always work in public facing type jobs but am now in first ever office job, load of people (thankfully not in my office) bring slippers into work and happily trot around in their fluffy footwear all day, putting shoes on to go out. it's not like there's a dress policy - they could wear trainers or whatever they like on their feet....
