Infinite_Jest [Edit] [Delete] 00:27, 3 March '16

New Zealand's greatest test batsman has died, it has been reported.

Martin Crowe passed away after a prolonged battle with cancer that eventually proved one attack the gifted cricketer couldn't see off.

5444 runs - at the time a New Zealand record - at an average of 45.36, and 17 test centuries.

Would have won the World Cup in 91 if he hadn't been injured while batting in the semi-final, leaving John 'interesting' Wright to captain the team when Pakistan batted.
