What's the most hip and happening pocket around there (must have a decent cafe, where they know how to make a proper long black)?

Camberwell? Greenwich? Southwark? Lewisham? (NB: If any of these areas happen to be nowhere near Goldsmiths, it's all google maps' fault.)

Bonus points if it's easy to get to Goldsmiths by train from there. Double bonus points if there's a decent live venue in the area that plays decent bands. Red hot pokers in various orifices if I follow your recommendation and it turns out that they don't actually know how to make a decent long black at the cafe.
