I need recomendations for two products. things. techniques

1. Carpet stain remover. I dropped some purple hair chalk onto a pale-ish carpet and then trod it in. Quite dramatically. I then proceeded to make an absolute pig's ear of trying to clwean it up, such that the Vanish Spray I have now used on it is merely lightening the surrounding area and turning the dark purple stains into bright neon violet orbs. Any good clenaers you can recommend? the stain is now just over two weeks old.
