- Our brains thirst for knowledge and little bursts of easily digestable information is an easy way to get a nice fix of dopamine, so that's good right?
- give us focused, annotated tables of contents. They've been around in basically offline form since at least the 19th century and are probably needed now more than ever
- They're not inherently shallow or destroying journalism, that's a problem with writers and editors, not the form
