Did anyone ever read these? I think they might have been in the Point Horror series, I got them down the local library and ate them up. They were absolutely batshit and had a ridiculous twist ending, but apparently the twist was then itself twisted and he wrote more books. Someone has written overly detailed plot summaries on Wikipedia and it shows how insane they were:
