I'm hoping to move into a flat shortly which is owned by live-in landlords who are working through a managing agent. I need guarantors and have asked my parents. The agency has asked them to undergo a credit check at £50, plus they want my parents' credit card details, including security code, to be passed on to my landlords? Is this normal? How can they guarantee the security of this information? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
