Chemsex

jigglypuff [Edit] [Delete] 15:21, 7 December '15

So I went to see this yesterday, followed by a Q&A session with the director and some of the film's participants. It is by far the most horrific documentary I've ever seen - brutal, bleak and painfully intimate. It's frustrating and heartbreaking in equal measure.

I'd highly recommend it as an exercise in empathy to anyone who thinks addiction is an easy problem to fix. It's almost sad that it won't get the mainstream attention it deserves owing to the graphic gay sex scenes and intravenous drug use.

Anyone else seen it? What did you think?

PS. Incredible soundtrack too.
