Hi Dis.

I have a very old laptop, probably on its last legs. A couple of weeks ago the battery stopped working, ie it only works when plugged in to the mains. At that stage, the battery monitor icon thing on my taskbar was showing as full and plugged in to the mains. Since then it's been gradually sinking down.

What will happen when it thinks/says the battery is empty? Is that the end?

Obviously I'm using my remaining juice to chat about it on dis rather than get anything productive done.
