any of you go to meetups, like the ones on meetup.com and do activities with strangers based around a particular topic of interest?
now that i'm trying to be a web developer i go to a bunch of these and they're great. last night i had all the firezza pizza i could eat and all the beer i could drink whilst chilling with some maxed out homies, for free.
am realising that music could do with these. they seem nerdy and unnatural, and obviously musicians are "supposed" to meet at gigs/through friends etc but you could get a lot done grabbing people for projects and seeing how it goes. tbh there probably are ones for music - im going to one i happened to see advertised where people who do music meet theatre people to do theatre music.
