Music Social More…

another environmental question for you (and me) to ponder

Silkyskillz11 [Edit] [Delete] 12:15, 20 October '15

so, we have two bins round our way for waste.

brown - for everyday shit

green - for recycling

firstly - I've decided (maybe wrongly) that rather than putting my green bin out fortnightly for emptying, I'll wait for it to get full. this is usually every 6 weeks or so. just to let you, I don't just chuck shit in. I break it down. yep, I'm dull like that. so....what do you think? is it more environmentally savvy for them to collect a third-full bin every 2 weeks, or wait for it to get full? I'm going for the latter, obviously.

secondly - within the last year they've started to collect glass shit too. thing is, you're expected to put it in the green bin, with all the recycling stuff. I'm not having this, so I still take my bottles to the bank periodically. soooo, is it better to chuck the glass in with the recycling, which presumably means some cunt is gonna have to fish it out before processing, or do what I do and drive to the bottle bank?

that's all I've got

thanks in advance!
