someone genuinely said this to me today to explain their actions of digging up the road outside my house at 6 am

asked who their manager was so could go and complain at their amazing lack of foresight/ common sense/ decency & he spotted I was videoing him
actually said to me you are not allowed to video me without my permission
pointed out that digging up the road at that time of day wasn't exactly acting in a legit fashion & he said he was only
following orders

after pointing out that was a teeny bit of a Nazi like defence go the managers name & went and complained

any other dissers come across people using this defence?
