Music Social More…

do you think future generations are going to be a bit psychologically messed up knowing that they were plastered all over their parents' social media?

it's hard to talk about this without sounding like you're taking a dig at people, and i understand where the urge to post baby photos comes from (to a point, i'm not a parent myself). but it makes me really uncomfortable sometimes to watch this stuff. i'm more talking about extreme examples here, like posting 3 photos a day, that kind of thing, publicising every little development... it's even weirder when you see people who still an avatar of their child when they're pushing double figures.

from a personal point of view, if i could imagine (through a bit of hypothetical mental acrobatics) that i'm the kid in question looking back, i'd find it pretty weird and intrusive.

i sound like i'm being a crank here but i genuinely think this is going to be more of a talking point as the social media generation gets older and their kids get older.
