We did it guys! We survived! No more deflategate! No more wondering how Mariota will work in a pro system! No more umming and ahh-ing about whether Chip Kelly's a revolutionary or a nutcase! No more endless debates about Joe Flacco being...oh. But anyway, it's back! Things will actually start happening on pitches instead of in courtrooms!

I'd also like to propose A CHANGE (gasp) to the way we do these threads. Rather than one person doing a massive longform 4000 word preview how about we all write a bit about whichever game(s) we plan to watch? This is partly because I'm at work and don't have time to do it all today and partly because, truth be told, it's hard to say anything incisive about certain games where I don't know a huge amount about the teams involved. Or in other words, just because I'm not interested in Dolphins v Redskins or Lions v Chargers it doesn't necessarily mean someone else isn't.

Anyway, football! It's back! Hooray!
