so what do we all think of non-religious 'churches'. Where people go and sing secular pop songs, listen to talks and generally socialise in a community of like minded people.

Seems to be for people who like the community aspect of religion without bothering with all the God stuff (like the CofE then) but why not just join a club or social group then?
Is there something strange about mimicking something almost to a tee with fairly 'minor' changes that you generally wouldn't be interested in or is it a good replacement for that community that religion provides in a secular world?
