Cheap flights fuckups

ThierryEnnui [Edit] [Delete] 14:49, 2 September '15

I feel like a proper Mum having just been embroiled in a fiasco with Ebookers. I got all giddy and used my Skycanner phone app to book flights to Lisbon or two weeks time. The app automatically refers you to a travel agent, which in this case was Ebookers. Instead of the 10:20am flight from Gatwick that I definitely booked for, they shoved me on an 8pm flight from Heathrow (which would mean arriving for the first day of a 3 day holiday at 11pm) which was revealed when they sent my itinerary.
Called them up, explained what had happened, am told that for a scant £345 they could change my flight time. Bearing in mind that my whole round trip was booked for less than £500, not a fucking chance. My alternative was a refund after cancelling for £36. For two tickets.

I found an alternative flight for £126 for two people outbound and have kept my return journey. So I'm out maybe £150-200 to Ebookers. Is there any hope for a poor sucker to get any of the rest of that money back?
