Any carpet wankers here?

We've moved into a place that has sisal carpeting. So far everything I've learnt about sisal has made me question its very existence.

"Sisal is strong (second only to wool). It is one of the more pricey plant fibers. Sisal is particularly prone to fading in direct sunlight and can be stained even by water."

Imagine installing a carpet that can be stained by water.
