'New media' and its impact on the election

hip_young_gunslinger [Edit] [Delete] 12:12, 20 April '15

This is based on no research but is more of a general theory and I'd be interested to hear your thoughts:

DA KIDS these days don't read newspapers or watch TV news generally, anything they get comes from online news sources, or just headlines and pictures shared to Facebook and Twitter. The biggest sources of these are probably BuzzFeed and Upworthy, etc, which MUST have a pretty strong lefty/liberal bias. Is this going to impact on a generation of voters, if not in this election, then somewhere down the line?
